October is about trees revealing colors they’ve hidden all year.
People have an October as well.
Just a couple of reasons to love fall:
- the beautiful leaves cover everything and anything, painting the landscape
- sweaters, boots, and jeans *finally* become perfectly acceptable to wear 24/7
- not to mention wool scarves and fuzzy socks
- pumpkin spice everything
- campfires and s’mores are a must for fall
- pumpkin picking!
- hay rides
- steamy hot chocolate
- fall scented candles GALORE
- becoming a blanket burrito also becomes perfectly acceptable
- so does wearing flannel
- ALL. BUGS. DIE.
- that smell, that wonderful crisp autumn smell
- halloween??!!?!?
- misty mornings
- one holiday after another, and who doesn’t love festivity?
- beanies beanies beanies
- long walks in nature
- corn mazes
- daylight savings = an extra hour of sleep
- eating good food and not caring about that summer bod
- not dying of heat & humidity!?!?!?!
- just the overall feeling of knowing that its fall, that feeling that fills you with joyfulness and excitement and contentment.
January is the quietest month in the garden… But just because it looks quiet doesn’t mean that nothing is happening.
The weather varies between heavy fog and pale sunshine; My thoughts follow the exact same process.
